Delete your SailCode account

This page explains how to delete your SailCode account, and what happens to your data when you do.

Delete your account in the app

The fastest way is from within SailCode itself:

1. Open the SailCode app and sign in.
2. Go to Settings.
3. Tap Delete account.
4. Confirm when prompted.

Deletion happens immediately and cannot be undone. You will be signed out once it completes.

Request deletion by email

If you can no longer sign in, or you would rather we did it for you, email support@getsailcode.com from the address registered to your account, with the subject line Delete my account.

We will confirm your identity, delete the account, and reply to confirm. We aim to complete requests within 30 days.

What is deleted

Deleting your account removes:

• Your profile — name, email address, date of birth, country, sail number and profile picture
• Your sign-in credentials
• Every GPS recording you have made, including the stored track points
• Your squad memberships and any consent records attached to them
• Your subscription entitlement record held by SailCode

What is kept, and for how long

• Purchase and billing records. Subscriptions are processed by Apple and Google, not by SailCode. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription and does not remove records those companies hold. Cancel through your App Store or Google Play account.
• Anonymous usage and diagnostic data. Analytics and crash reports that are not linked to your identity may be retained. These cannot be traced back to you once your account is gone.
• Records we are required to keep. Where law obliges us to retain certain records, we keep only what is required, for only as long as required.

If you are a parent or guardian

You can request deletion of a child’s account by emailing support@getsailcode.com. Tell us the child’s registered email address and your relationship to them.
